I spent some time searching for a resume service and decided to take the chance with Evolution Coaching, hoping for the best. My resume and last 2 positions were very industry specific however I felt that I have transferable skills. What a difference hiring a professional service makes! I work for a company that I really don’t like but I need the experience. So during my time working there, I would apply for other jobs. I didn’t have much luck with my resume because I think my resume didn’t have the main key points that the recruiters were looking for. My journey looking to hire someone came across Evolution Coaching.
Ms. Gilbert was fast in responding and reassuring with questions I had. After reading the reviews and talking/ messaging Ms. Gilbert, I decided to “hire” her company to help me spoof up my resume.
Ms. Gilbert had assigned Ms. Andrea Peak to help me with resume.
All I can say is thank you so very much Andrea Peak. *hug* She took my old resume and made it very professional. I could write down what I want and she puts them in ‘resume wordy way’. We would email back and forth. I would add or edit things here and there and she would fixed them. I thought I was being annoying but not once did I get a rude response from. I expressed to her my concerns about recruiters not contacting me, but she reassured me that the key points she used, the recruiters are able to pick them up. With my old resume I would get maybe one or 2 max callbacks a month. But with the new and improve resume, I was getting multiple callbacks/ contacts a week.
I had hired the Evolution Coaching team in March 2017. I got an offer to better job just recently and I am leaving the company I hate on 06/11/2017. 3 months. 3 months was all it took for me to find a new job with the new resume Ms. Peak had made for me. I’m not saying that by hiring this company you’re going to be guarantee a job, but more of you’re guarantee more recruiters are going to contact you.

I worked with Nikki on my resume. I have wanted an updated resume for a while but never could find a resume service that understood resumes for nurses. I went from being an LPN to an RN and worked in many different fields of nursing over the past 19 years so creating a resume that accurately reflected my education and varied experience was no easy task, in fact I believed it was impossible. I have not gotten my resume yet, but they have provided excellent service so far. They are very attentive, they ask questions that force you to think about your strengths and they instill confidence in their skills through their presentation. More than a few of the other services had typos in their emails and poor grammar. I had been sending out my previous resume for a while without a single bite. Literally, a day after sending out my revised resume from Evolution Coaching, I received a request for an interview! The process was very fast and Nikki even explained the psychology behind resume vs. LinkedIn writing. It’s money well-spent and I definitely recommend getting both services.

Additional note:

I will add this for people who have never used a resume writer before, like myself. It’s not enough to simply send your old resume to the writer and expect something miraculous in return. What I did was I wrote sentences, if not paragraphs, of information, in plain/conversational text, describing my individual work experience and achievements, and Nikki teased out the takeaway points, using keywords that were relevant to my job title and industry. My resulting resume sounded like a different, more qualified, person; yet it was me, and everything was true!

So, it helps to think of the process as hiring a ghostwriter to write your autobiography. How do you expect them to do it without your total commitment and effort??

Andy re-worked my wordy resume into something much more streamlined and customized. I very much appreciated the questions he had to really understand what I accomplished in my past work in order to translate it appropriately. They were just re-wordings of the resume, which to me felt canned and impersonal. I appreciate the work, but didn’t think they were worth the cost. I was offered a position in the exact career field I was looking for. These guys were professional and extremely nice and helpful!

I needed a resume refresh to give me a better chance at getting a new job so that I could relocate halfway across the country. The staff at Evolution Coaching were attentive, easy to work with and fast. The entire resume process took a little over a week.

Once I posted my resume on the various job sites, I was getting 5-20 hits a day. I immediately started getting calls and emails from prospective employers. I had a new job within 5 weeks of when I first posted my resume.

I was tossing around having my resume professionally rewritten. I researched what things to look for then went over to Thumbtack. I looked for companies and ended up choosing Evolution Coaching. I was assigned to Matt. He sent me some initial questions and set up a consultation via phone. I sent him my resume, cover letter, and gave him access to LinkedIn. Then we had the consultation. Within 48 hours, I had all three items in my inbox. For me, it was well worth the money because I was having difficulty showing how my skills are transferable. I was great at getting through Applicant Tracking Systems but the first screen through the HR person (not the actual doing the hiring), wasn’t as fruitful as I wanted it to be. I had some questions and got responses in less than 3 hours. Overall, I am pleased and can’t wait to get home to look for jobs and apply!
